You only have to tell us once

VAT is simple too

When you tell us about your contacts, select the rate at which your suppliers charge VAT (normally 0% or 17.5%) and we will automatically separate out the VAT on each transaction for you. In the example of BT, you would select 17.5%.

Safeguards in My Bookkeeping Online mean you can’t go too far wrong. For example

If you import a bank statement file with transactions you have already imported, the software will block the duplicate transactions.
Once you have imported data, you can simply check that the bank balance in the software against the balance shown on your bank statements to confirm that the import was successful. The added benefit is that no “Bank Reconciliation” is necessary.
If you make a mistake, we have made it very easy to edit or delete it.
